On Tuesday, December 1, 2009, a seminar was held at the library of BIOMED/CERETETH in Larissa (51 Papanastasiou str.) entitled “Update on the new influenza virus H1N1”.
The seminar provided an update and scientific information on the origin of the new influenza virus H1N1, its structural and general characteristics, the mode of transmission, as well as diagnostic methods and effective treatment.
The seminar was given by Dr.Vasiliki Gkretsi, who is Researcher D at the BIOMED/CERETETH and Gerasimos Dimisianos, who is a collaborating molecular biologist. The seminar attended members of the association of microbiologists in Larissa and an interesting discussion followed.
